The Harris Center is looking for an experienced Physical Therapist to join our IDD and Early Childhood Intervention services team

About the Position

As a Physical Therapist at The Harris Center, you will conduct initial evaluations and reassessments regarding child development and physical therapy to infants and toddlers 0 - 3 years old. You will need to assess the child's development for initial and annual eligibility. You will also provide regular assessments regarding the development and ongoing progress in order to develop and enact an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) to meet the needs of the child and family. Based on the child's IFSP goals, you will provide physical therapy services. In addition to caring for the patient's physical therapy needs, you will also provide mentoring and supervision to PTAs.

About Early Childhood Intervention

As part of our Intellectual Disability and Autism Services, The Harris Center provides services designed to assist parents in addressing the needs of children under the age of 3 with delayed development and/or certain medical diagnoses that result in delayed development. Our team works together to provide evaluation and assessment, occupational and physical therapy, speech-language therapy, service coordination, family counseling and education, and developmental services in the child's home or community settings.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Texas
  • Experience working with children 0 - 3 years old, preferred
