About the Position

The Master Level Clinician at The Harris Center performs clinical activities, such as assessments and interventions, under the direction of a treatment plan created by an LPHA or identified patient needs. You will coordinate with both inpatient and outpatient treatment teams. You will work to assess patient needs and authorize services as well as plan treatment, admission, and discharge. The Master Level Clinician also regularly monitors the patient’s progress toward treatment goals in order to determine the effectiveness of the treatment plan and interventions. 

About our Field-Based Programs

The Harris Center provides field-based programs including our Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) and Crisis Intervention Response Team (CIRT) in partnership with the Houston Police Department and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. The MCOT provides services to children and adults experiencing a mental health crisis but unwilling to access services through a traditional outpatient setting, at risk for hospitalization, or in need of outreach services to prevent further deterioration.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in one of the following: social, behavioral, or human service field
  • Intern licensure with current clinical supervision: LPC-A, LMFT-A, or LMSW
  • 6 months of mental health experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
