About the Position

The Licensed Therapist at The Harris Center is responsible for providing independent assessments and interventions in accord to a client’s treatment plan and needs. One of the most important focuses of the Licensed Therapist is the creation and management of care plans and evaluation of the current and future medical needs of the individuals. You will work alongside the inpatient and outpatient treatment teams in order to best meet the needs of your client. Your clinical role involves assessing clients for potential diagnoses and treatment needs, monitoring progress with treatment goals to ensure effectiveness of interventions, and providing education regarding mental illness, symptoms, and medications. The Licensed Therapist also provides crisis intervention to individuals to reduce symptoms and prevent admission to more restrictive care. This role also provides monitoring, supervision, and training to other clinical staff as needed.

About our Child and Adolescent Services

The Harris Center understands that behavioral illness can affect people of any age, including children. It can make life difficult at school, home, and in the community difficult for children, but it can also challenge parents. At The Harris Center, we want to be there to help the whole family, so we offer numerous children's programs and services that serve children with serious emotional disturbance and provide early intervention services.
